United States, Washington, Skagit, Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, Mt. Baker Ranger District, From South Skagit Hwy, take FSR 17 (Finney Cumberland Rd) 4.4 miles to fSR 1775. Take FSR 1775 4.6 miles to spur 777. (Road is poor so we hiked tot he last curve to the south). At this bend is a 10 inch Abies amabilis marked as apt. a. SP1 is 1980 feet at 253 degrees from this point. Alternatively one could hike in the abanded Rd. west of the unit however the swamp to the north of the unit is difficult to distinguish from here., 47 -121.49, 1494m

Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, White River Ranger District, Fromt he jet of Hwy 410 and 7174 drive about 1 mile eaterly on 7174 until the locked gate near trailhead for trail 1188 (FS key did not work). Walk up 77174 for about 3 1/2 miles until you reach an elevation of 4800-4900 ft (small creek crosses road at this point). Leave the road and traverse the slope in a southeast direction maintaining a 4800-4900 ft elevation (altimeter is helpful). Follow elk trails into first wash area immediately below rock wall. Pass large cwd ascend out of wash following elk trails below rocky slope. Hike for approx. 2000 more feet. REference point is Pseudotsuga., 47 -121.49, 1494m

United States, Washington, Skagit, Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, Mt. Baker Ranger District, From Darrington drive 5303 for 16.5 mi (Illabot Crk Rd) turn east. Drive 10 mi to FSR 1620 and turn south. Drive 3.3 mi to fork and bear right (FSR 012 west). Drive through gravel pit/mine for about 0.9 mi bear left at fork. continue for about 0.4 mi to old landing on right and park. Walk at 302-303 through landing and edge trees for about 1500 feet. You will drop about 800 feet elevation to site. Reference point tree is along creek just south of sample point 2. Don't cross the creek. Keep creek channel on right and look for Reference point tree at 7.0 inch Tsuga., 47 -121.49, 1494m

Take Wind River Hwy north-northeast 7.9 miles to 64 Rd. Take 64 Rd. northeast 1.7 miles on 201. Reference point is on the west side of Rd., 47.39 -121.62, 1097m
