Plants 15–30 cm; roots thickened, often fusiform.

Inflorescences 15–40-flowered, subglobose, 10–20 mm wide.

Pedicels erect, proximal-most horizontal or only slightly reflexed, stout, ? 1 mm.

Flowers 10–12 mm; calyces sparsely hairy or glabrous; corollas white, banner and wing tips slender-acuminate.

2n=16.

Boggy meadows. Flowering May–Jul. 1200–2300 m. Casc. WA. Native.
