Blackcap raspberry is a fast-growing and tasty raspberry that does best in full sun. Its waxy white stems are prickly, making it a perfect barrier plant to grow along fences and in hedgrows. It forms thickets which provide excellent cover and food for small mammals and birds. The white flowers bloom in attractive clusters at the ends of arching stems and mature into purple-black fruits that are delicious straight off the bush or in a variety of preparations.
